Brilliant book, short and poignant.

The kindle edition has a few extra features at the back, including commentary by Gaiman:

It was a story, I learned when people began to read it, that children experienced as an adventure, but which gave adults nightmares. It's the strangest book I've written, it took the longest time to write, and it's the book I'm proudest of.

Enjoyable, regardless of age.

Chad Kohalyk The audio version of this is great too, narrated by Gaiman. I thought it was better than the movie an look forward to listening to it with my daughters when they are older.
