I found this book after seeing Neil Gaiman enthusiastically recommend Jonathan Carroll, and after seeing it involved time travel, i quickly bought it on Kindle. The title is somewhat misleading - the "ghost in love" part is a very minor part of this book, barely acknowledged, really. It's a story of a man who was supposed to die after a head injury, but who inexplicably lived, and how this is wreaking havoc with the higher-ups of the universe. He soon exhibits new powers, including time travel. Of course when the universal order breaks, there are those in power who try to quash it, and you will see that here. I was excited to see a new take on the life after death sequence, but I was ultimately disappointed in the ending. I found Jonathan Carroll's style to be easy to read, however, and I'll be checking out other books by him in the future.
