The book of 14 cows was a very moving story about a boy named Kimeli, his village called the Massai tribe, and the 14 cows. Kimeli was offered a scholarship to study in New York to become a doctor. While Kimeli was in New York he witnessed the terrible tragedy of 9/11. Kimeli was able to go back home during his break and he shared the tragic story of 9/11 to his tribe. The tribe felt touched with pain for all the lost lives.
Kimeli wanted to donate his cow to America and so he did, the rest of their tribe then followed and gave the rest of the thirteen cows to America. This village only has these 14 cows but they call them the healing cows. These 14 cows are not to be slaughtered, they are sacred but they did have calves and now there is up thirty five cows.
