This was a fun, easy read. I finished it in a few hours and didn't want to put it down. I guess, if I'm going to actually critique this and explain why I did not give it a five star rating, I would have to say that I was a little disappointed in a few things. It didn't seem natural that Kate and Marak should be so comfortable physically (she kisses him, etc) right after the wedding, when she is still miserable. I guess I really wanted to see her transformation from disgust (for his ugliness) to love. I also would have liked to see Kate using more of her powerful magic at the end to save them. It doesn't seem like she does anything remarkable at all, even though the charm keeps reacting as though she is soooo very powerful and all. Also, the ending was a little dull for me. Still, though, I really liked Marak and Kate and the goblin world. I had a great time reading it.
