This book intrigued me from the very beginning; It was just so interesting to see what a world would be like if adults just "poofed", leaving kids to themselves. I soon found that this story was much more fictional type than that. It grew to be absolutely psychotically awesome. Plot-wise, this book was almost perfect. My only complaints are that I didn't really like how the point-of-view changed between so many different characters, it got almost irritating at times. Also, I felt the ending of the book was a bit predictable, if not anti-climatic; and anyways, I was getting this really weird X-men vibe from the ending. But I'm confident that this series is going to change and evolve a lot, and hopefully get out of that X-men feel. Overall, this book was awesome: the characters are awesome, the plot is awesome, it's all awesome. The story makes you think about how terrible would kids my age actually become when there were no adults to control them, when they had "powers" over other people? Is it realistic that we'd ever come to using machine guns on each other? Anyway, definitely one I'll recommend.
