What a fascinating thought provoking read, especially for those of us who were around for the bulk of it. I, like many of the celebrities interviewed, didn't have MTV when it came out, but would go to either BW3 or my cousins and watch it for hours. And like it or not, MTV changed not just music, but the world. In the early 80s, there was no way for small town people to know how to be punk rock, or that there was even such a thing, until we could see it. I enjoyed watching old videos on Youtube, and reading the gossip, and remembering where I was when I heard these things. If you even sorta kinda want to read it, read it. Its a blast.
