really liked it
bookshelves: 2012, horror, joe-ledger, action
Read from June 07 to 12, 2012

As a reader of Joe Ledger's previous doings i had a good hunch for what was up on the menu for the third book. Sharply written action scenes, double taps, Ledger's alpha-male inner dialogue, crazy conspiracies and villains. And i got what i ordered, all those things, but little less action and more an inner workings of a bad guys and couple good new characters and a dog. Some reviews has given a lower rating because 'too much time spend with the bad guys', i found it a refreshing and interesting, because we get see from inside how 'Illuminati' like secret society works and it helps to have little bit knowledge of that kind of things.

A plot is crazy, but believable in the Ledger's world same way you accept (least i accept) world of Jack Bauer, it's just feels right. There is just enough depth for main players, i found Toys and Circe O'Tree above others, not counting Joe Ledger, who's is by this point pretty ruined, he's like a old friend who's stories you like to hear, but not want to hang around with...too much. Extra point for Ledger's dog, Ghost. This series has slowly, but surely becoming one of my favorites. I give this 4 solid stars, hooah!
