Gorgeous, juicy read that I bought to get me through the flight home from Ireland a) I detest flying b) I did not want to leave Ireland. It lasted a few days longer, through the flu that struck upon landing. Perfect escape! I spent the summer 0f 2003 in the region of France Mosse depicts in the novel and could picture the terrain, remnants of villages, the very terroir she evokes in this terrific, original escapade. Good on her- this was a great read!
