really liked it

i loved this book.

i'm a UFC fan myself and appreciated the raw, alpha masculinity of the characters. her writing style blended very well with the plot.

it's a tortured hero alpha male sexplosion! and the heroine wasn't a "perfectly proportioned groupie" either and definitely more realistic for it.

the story has the potential to be heart shattering and i appreciated that. it was a simple plot that could be fleshed out more but even in it's simplicity the story was fabulous. a great quick read.

Clay "Powerhouse" Powers is a heavyweight UFC MMA champion who intimates more people than not and Melody is a constantly smiling variation of optimist and realist. her minor act of kindness endears her to him and you felt their relationship grow with his recurring visits to her work and their interactions.

anyone who likes to see the more vulnerable side of an alpha male and prefers a woman who seems to actually deserve him, this book is for you.
