This book is written by Lois Lowry and I read it between the dates of 2-10-12 to 2-12-12.The main character is AnneMarie and she lives in Copenhagen in the time period of a war.The supporting characters are Ellen-AnneMarie's Best Friend-Soilders,Kristi-AnneMaries little sister-and Mama. The most frequent settings are Copenhagen and Annemaries Uncle's Farm. The problem is that Annemaries friends' family has to be relocated. It is the same with all the jews. But to protect Ellen, they act like it is Annemaries sister. The resolution is that they travel to her Uncles farm. The thing is her family puts on a fake funeral and all the guests are Jews. The Uncle has a lake and right across it is Sweden. The Jews all escape to Sweden in the middle of the night and this story was historical fiction because AnneMarie wasn't real or the other characters, but this really happened. This book is 3rd person limited.I really like this book I thought it was adventurous and had frienship.I would reccomend this book to people who just broke up with a friend to see the friendship the sacrifice to eachother.
