Do you have any food allergies or know someone who does? This book will teach you all you need to know about them and then some. It was one part memoir, one part informational. I didn't like the fact that it was trying to teach. Sometimes its nice just to read someone's life story without having to learn all this information about the ailment that plagues them. I did find some of it interesting, but I am not sure if I needed to know the history of the word allergy. The subject is about a woman who lives her normal life with allergens to most things that people are able to eat: cheese, eggs, dairy, shrimp..the list goes on. And it describes the awful reaction she gets when eating this food. This book definitely let me realize how hard it can be for those people!
