I like that this book is as accessible as the average pop-diet book, but everything is backed up by scientific research. You're never left questioning where the information came from and why you should believe it. The authors seem to anticipate every question and explain the reasoning behind what they include in the book as much as possible.

It's useful as a diet book since it has a chapter on using the low GI diet for weight loss, includes recipes, etc. However, it's clearly intended to illustrate the health benefits of low GI eating more than anything, and includes chapters explaining how the GI diet benefits people with diabetes, hypoglycemia, PCOS, and other health issues.
