No matter how big or how small, every one and every thing is important in its own way. This is a great book to help children think about how massive our universe is, and also how tiny some living organisms are. I like the way this book compares two different objects and tells which ones is smaller, but then on the next page it compares the small object to something even smaller, and so on. For example, "Big sky, small sun... Big sun, small Earth." I think this really puts things into perspective for small children who have difficulty grasping this concept. I also love the watercolor illustrations in this book. The details are amazing, and I think they compliment the text very well.
