really liked it
bookshelves: fantasy
Read from February 21 to 22, 2012 , read count: 2

Again, the book dragged a bit in the middle, but still, this was a better, more coherent book than the second one. Aleksander was in it and the humility was good for him. At first, I was annoyed that neither he nor Sayonne thought of Blaise and his rebels, but then I understood that he really had to let go of everything he was before he could make the world different and better. The same could be said for Sayonne. He had to let go of his dreams of power, of setting the world right as it was before, because the world had to be something else. The characters kept me enthralled and they still do and that is, I've learned, one of the best traits of Berg's books. Great trilogy.
