This is one of many Shel Silverstein's single anthology (verse) books. At a primary age reading it doesn't lack satisfaction to all readers. The poems are widely varied using repetition, personification and rhyme on a wide range of topics and there are some I favor more then others. Illustrations are all outline, black and white. The pictures are comical to the verses like the baby sitter actually sitting on the kid. This is a must read for all ages that uses rhyming and free verse.
