really liked it
bookshelves: audiobooks, historical-adventure
Read from February 21 to March 02, 2012

I'd forgotten how much I enjoy Loius L'Amour. He writes stories of strong upright men and their strong upright women who are often making their own way through the dangerous world. Good stories of high adventure in new America (the blue mountains of Carolina in this case) or the old West, or some other untamed land.

Sue Kind of like a grown-up Little House on the Prarie?

Fran L'Amour is more violent than Wilder. Not graphic violence, but certainly fights, battles and the like. Most, but certainly not all, of the stories are Westerns.
