Loved the cover from the moment I saw it. Just bought this. Definitely need to read and see if it'll amaze or disappoint. ;3

Let's see...

-First person narrative, present tense, check.
-Female main character has some sort of secret/power, check.
-Because of those powers, everyone suddenly wants the FMC, check.
-Because of said powers (or just because she's different), FMC has always been an loner/outcast of sorts, check.
-Hot (as in incredibly soul-suckingly, mesmerizingly hot) boy shows up, check.
-Said hot boy sneaks into her room like Edward in Twilight, check.
-Not surprisingly, FMC doesn't really question anything the hot boy says, and believes/trusts in him completely. She can't resist it. There's something in him that draws her in! They are surely fated to be?! check. (Boy, for her to have to suffer through her raging teenage hormones 5x's that of any other teenager for each of their 1 year must suck.)

You'd think that after having lived through WWII and surviving to the present, the MC would be much brighter, cynical, and have more interesting hobbies and habits? Where's the...flavor, as it is...to her life?

Note to self, must remember to read everything with a grain of salt. I love salt. Err. I will finish this. I hope the story picks up soon. Still hoping for a big bang that will make me give this 5-stars.
