4.5 stars
I absolutely adored this book. To be honest, at first I really didn't think I would. The stories about cheerleaders and football/hockey stars has been written about more than enough times. Yet, this book was different - Rose was different. Her emotions were real and believable. Maybe it was because I could relate to her feelings and that was why I liked the book so much, but something about the novel managed to make me feel sad, but at the same time, happy for Rose and her accomplishments as she learned to live without her mother. This novel was real and bittersweet, and even though this review really doesn't do it justice, at the end of the day I genuinely loved each moment of it.
