Do I sense a monster of the month trend? I've already started book 4, so I can add...

Book 4: Zombies

Seems strange to see one incarnation of each creature before they go scurrying off into the night. We haven't even seen a vampire other than Henry. And only a brief mention of his creator.

I guess I'm used to more continuing characters. So far, there only seems to be any continuity with Vicki, Mike, Henry, and to a lesser extent Tony and Vicki's Mom (via phone).

Speaking of continuity, Henry and Vicki take a big step unique to vampire relationships. She stays over while he's dead for the day. Lets say she doesn't like sticking around a "sleeping" vampire any more than Anita does. As for Tanya's lore, vampires are down and out from sunrise to sunset. No, getting up early for the old and powerful.
