The illustrations in the book The Principal from the Black Lagoon in relation to the text are enhancing. Although the images reflect what is stated in the text, the text sort of allows you to use your imagination. The images used here give the reader the worst possible vision of what the principal will be like. This makes the reader more anxious and interested to continue reading. None of the images are full-bleed, however, there are no defined borders, which I found I really like. The illustrations use a lot of cross-hatching. The books in this series are some of my favorites so I really enjoyed reading this one.
