I can't say enough about this work. I was engaged and invested from the first paragraph. The story weaves in and out of the circumstances of one madman while being narrated in language that would be chosen by yet another madman -- not necessarily language that the normal person would use to describe anything, let alone a mundane object like an item of clothing (for example). Poignant, poetic, emotionally satisfying -- complex and tragic relationships. I was reminded a bit of some work by Vonnegut -- and that is high praise. A valuable addition to anyone's library.
