It is about a boy named Brooke and his friend Zeke. They put on a show at school called the phantom. They have been hearing screaming and loud noises at the auditorium. They saw a guy sweep down from somewhere in the auditorium with white hair and a mask. Then he disappears then anybody can’t see him. Then you have to read the rest of the book to find out what happens next.

This is a suspenseful book about 2 friends, Brooke and Zeke, both 6th graders. They audition for a school play, called The Phantom of the Auditorium, and get the lead roles. This play hasn't been performed at Woods Mill Middle School for 72 years because the boy playing the lead male role disappeared. He was never found.
During the practices of this play, weird things happen. Brooke, Zeke and new friend, Brian, are frequently scared by a mysterious noises and happenings as they search the school at night for the "Phantom".
The conclusion of the book reveals a shocking fact about the original production performed years ago.
