I downloaded this story because the author who wrote it routinely engages in humorous self-depricating behavior and is not afraid to poke fun at his books. He's even gone as far as posting a quote on his sales page stating that the reader would rather stab herself in the eye with a fork than read another page of his book. An absolutely bizzare, but ingeniously funny tactic that got me to download his book.

I couldn't imagine that his books are nearly as bad as he says they are. It turns out his shtick is just a shtick. This guy can write his socks off! I enjoyed this story very much and will seek out more of this author's work in the future. Well done, Mr. Berger. Your performance as the literary equivalent of Rodney Dangerfield has won you another fan.
