I had read an excerpt of this book a couple of years ago and it seemed like it would be a great read. Not so much. I think some reviewers like that Logan is an anti-heroine. You want an anti-heroine read Stacia Kane's Downside Ghosts series. Logan gets off drugs in a couple of days thanks to her vamp friends and she never exhibits any of the negative traits a long term drug user would have, she's not gritty. That she doesn't fall into the heroes arms is a nice turn, but she's not as feral or damaged as she should be for 14 or 15 years on the streets. The relationship between the 2 main characters is minimal and as another reviewer has said, you learn more about the secondary characters than you do the main characters. A hundred pages could have been added to add more depth to this story. I've read 100 page novellas with more substance than this.

It was, however, a quick read and the prose flowed.
