I got this as a free book on Amazon and I am so glad I did! Be forewarned this is only the beginning to a trilogy, but I am very excited to read more. Right now I can only find the books digitally, although I have read a review by someone who does own first publication copies.
Anywho, female protagonist, magic, new worlds, and new people everywhere to meet in the most interesting of places. One I really enjoyed -- not one I couldn't put down, but definately liked getting wrapped into. I am purchasing the next 2 from Amazon. :D
