did not like it
bookshelves: put-down

I watched the first 3 episodes of the show and just didn't get into it. I didn't like how the girls were portrayed as either a mean girl and/or a doormat. The story in all 3 episodes was the same...my evil brother did something evil, but I'll give him another chance...oh shocker my evil brother did something evil, but I'll give him another chance...

Anyway, story in EW last week and several people talking about how good the show is and how great the book is led me to pick this up at the library. I made it 30 pages before deciding that this story is just not for me. The book Elana is even worse than the show Elana. There is just nothing that makes me connect with her character at all. She has to get the guy, not because he is attractive and mysterious, not because she has a connection with him, but because he walked past her without stopping to admire her. She orders other girls around like they are her little puppy-dog followers. Urgh.

Maybe she has character development and stops behaving like such a ...er..brat...but I doubt it. No, this book/tv show is just not for me.

Margo Ihated it too- never got into the show either. Way too immature and slutty.

Melissa Urgh, yes! I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't like this one!
