it was amazing

This is one of the most important books I have ever read. It was a slog, but the internet makes an excellent companion. I feel like this book helped me achieve a new level of awareness of the universe. It brought together many disparate threads of my education into a narrative, of all things...a story, complete with humor and wit and grace. Pretty pictures with hidden depth. Musical patterns whose meanderings expose the operation of reality. This book should immediately be of interest to anybody who loves science and math, but I must also emphatically recommend this book to those interested in art, religion, philosophy, and the rest of the humanities. I hope this book stays "in print" forever.
