** spoiler alert ** I found the premise to be very pedestrian (Native American spirits called forth to punish the white man) and the execution lacking. There were some plot holes (how do spirits communicate with the living, even via email; or why do they drive, and where did they get the vehicles?) and the timeline of some of the back story was confusing (went to stay with her mother after breaking up with her boyfriend, but then later we find out the mother has been dead for quite a few years) as well. It's more of a novella than a novel in length.
