I have been eyeing the first 3 books in the Olympian Series, "Zeus", "Athena", and "Hera" for a while now but just hadn't brought myself to picking them as I have so many books I am still reading through. I was titillating with excitement when I opened my mail and "Hades: Lord of the Dead" was sitting in my hands burning for the cover to be turned. I am an enormous enthusiast of Greek mythology, with Hades being one of the best unsung heroes. George O'Conner has done a superb job with sticking with the time honored tales of the Greek Gods and Goddesses with this action packed, colorful, comic retelling. If you or your children are interested or having to learn about Greek Mythology, I highly suggest picking up this series and shedding a new light upon reading the classics with a twist. You won't regret it.
