I HAD to have this book when i read the cover at the bookstore. I loved the idea of this story. BUT... I had a hard time staying focused on it,although I was determined to finish the book. It did get bettet as i read on..but left alot of unanswered questions, and alot of territory that I would have liked more depth. I have volunteered at local rescue missions and places that you would find homeless people and there is alot more to write about it, and after reading this felt let down with it being more of a love story than what i was looking for.On a positive note, I did have compassion for the characters, and loved the story being told through both main characters.I did like the fact that it showed that homeless people arent just lazy or are criminals, but REAL people with REAL FAMILIES and that sometimes they are good people in bad situations that are out of their control, with mental illnesses. The book did give me alot to think about ,but left me wanting to have explored more into other areas than where the author had taken me.GOOD BOOK...butcould have been a GREAT book.
