This book is a clear and concise introduction into medieval bestiaries, and describes creatures such as the unicorn, dragon and basilisk. The aim of the book is to make you more familiar with these creatures and how they were thought of and used in the literature of the Middle Ages. The book offers explanations as to the origins of the myths, what these creatures symbolized in literature and how these mythical creatures have transformed into the creatures we see in contemporary media. Truly fascinating stuff.
