I don't know why exactly I picked this book up. Maybe because I kept hearing and reading about it and coming across it at Barnes and Noble as well as used bookstores. The premise sounded interesting enough and I liked the idea of the story coming from the guy's perspective. BUT this guy came off as a pansy to me. Not only that, but the annoying stereotypes when it comes to people who live in the south...it really annoyed me. I'm from Texas and there are all kinds of people around here, not just the narrow-minded-ignorant-southern-drawl-eating-fried-chicken-all-day types.
