I LOVED this book. I couldn't wait until bedtime so I could start reading it every night. It's just perfect. That said, I recommended it to a few people who found it depressing. So go figure.

Jackie Blurb on the story certainly sounds interesting to me.
What was depressing about it?

Sloane Tanen It's a realistic novel about people's lives so there is the real sadness that comes with....life. I didn't find that I got bogged down by it because all of characters' lives go on and there are so many stories weaved throughout I didn't find myself dwelling too much on any one character. Every character had their own tragedies and victories--some more devastating than others. It's definitely not a 'feel good' book, but it's a really good book.
