Tj Lawson Not that strong of a book. There are a few good ideas in here, but the authors takes some basic ideas and run to wild conclusions. There are two things that are greatly missing: 1- The Holy Spirit. The authors seem to act as if after the death of the Apostles the whole church just started right down the crapper and there was nothing God could do about it. They make no room for the Holy Spirit to be leading or guiding the church. 2 - The author fall in the dangerous idea that 'if it is not in the NT we shouldn't do it.'

The book is just not that well put together, and the research not a full as it could have been. Mark Dricoll's review and Ben Witherington's reviews are worth the read.

Skip this book and read Deep Church by Jim Belcher.
