I read the vast majority of this book in a sleepless night. There's something very magical about the writing. In reviews, the word "prismatic" keeps coming up, and normally I'd gag at something like that, but it feels true for The Cat's Table. Coming of age story, which I love on principal. There was just something undercooked about the characters, especially the narrator. Over too fast.
