I don't really see myself continuing on with this series. I started reading them because of the TV show, but I'm just not impressed enough to keep going... reading the same book three times is probably enough.
I feel like the story would have been pretty good, but Kathy Reichs is terrible at descriptive writing. My favorite thing about reading is the fact that you have to use your imagination and create the scenery in your head, but I cannot for the life of me picture the settings Reichs half-way depicts. Another thing that annoys me is that I actually really like Claudel, and it seems to me that Tempe does too - with the exception of the times she's saying he's a jerk. That is a little confusing to me, and I don't like being confused.
Overall it's an OK book with an OK premise, but not one that I'm over the moon about.
