This is a history of the 8th Air Force bomber groups in Europe during WWII. The book tells it through the experiences of the flight crews. It also tells about the technical and tactical developments brought about by the crews and their commanders. It's an interesting read and I learned quite a bit from the book. The book talks about the heavy bombers. I was a little disappointed as my father flew in a medium bomber and there wasn't much mentioned about those bomber groups. But it is a good read and I would recommend it to anyone who likes to learn more about the air war in Europe during WWII.
