forgot I read this last year, and then came across it on the shelf again yesterday. just the sight of the book gave me goosebumps, and a rush of the feelings it evoked. quite simply, it's stunning. gentle, raw, deep, and oh so very very human. 13 facets of a character, woven beautifully. all 13 stand on their own, richly, but together make a quilt that you want to wrap around you and never let go of, no matter how frayed it gets. yes, it's that good.
