This was so thought provoking. I wish Goodreads had 1/2 stars. This would rate a high 4.5. Theresa is a street-wise girl who rushes into marriage to Adrian Curtis, an apple farmer. All think her marriage won't last--even herself at some points--but as the years roll by and hardships and trials press them as they work the land which has been in his family for generations, she grows more in love with her husband, and finds herself in the process through writing. I loved this book. I love her writing style. My friend, Summer, said it best, that Weir writes about the tragedies in her life without sounding whiny.
