This is a perfect way to introduce younger comic book readers to a wide range of DC heroes and villains. There are six issues compiled into this trade, and each one is a self-contained story. They are light and funny - with enough action to satisfy but not become too violent.

Batman gets the chance to team up with Superman to solve a crime in the bottle city of Kandor. I loved the "buddy" vibe of this one, where Batman and Superman enjoy one another's company and play to one another's strengths. The second episode has Batman working with Captain Marvel to defeat the Psycho Pirate. We are treated to a bizarrely funny episode with the Hatter set "through the looking glass", where Batman teams up with the Flash. Over the course of all six issues Batman also works with Wonder Woman, Guy Gardner as the Green Lantern, and the Martian Manhunter. Kids will definitely find a hero that they can enjoy!

This trade paperback compiles issues #1-6 from the comic series "The All New Batman: The Brave and the Bold"
