Contemporary realistic fiction that tells the story of a young boy whose family emigrates from Afghanistan during the reign of the Taliban. We watch the family cope with life in America pre and post 9/11. The book touches on many critical issues through the eyes of the boy providing insights into Afghanistan and culture of Afghan families and communities.
