** spoiler alert ** I received my ARC through Netgalley.

From What I Remember by Stacey Kramer is an overall fun and fast past book. I breezed through this novel in about four hours. Kylie is one of the most enjoyable characters that I've read in a young adult book in quite sometime. She is amazingly witty and on top of her game - most of the time.

Personal thoughts:
While the story concept is nothing new - rich boy and poor girl fall in love - a topic that I feel is seriously TOO overly done with, Kramer handled the topic quite well. It was refreshing that Kylie had family in Mexico and learned about her own family while being there.

I think this book will be a good read for teens getting close to graduating from high school. Don't a lot of wish that that one boy will love us? Or that we'll get invited to that big party? While there is drinking and the topic of sex - I did not find the book dirty. Perhaps it was due to Kylie's innocence (and the fact that she kept her virginity) that did not make the drinking seem overly offensive.
