it was ok
bookshelves: first-reads

** spoiler alert ** I didn't make it very far into this. In the first few pages, it did not make me care about the character. We go through the motions of what it's like to be her, but I didn't see anything about her that made me want to know more, made her stand out, or show me why I should follow her through this adventure.

I wish this book all the best, maybe I was just the wrong audience for it.

Kimberly You know, I may have had one of those fangirl moments with this book as many people do with twilight. I can definitely see your points. I don't really know what it was that got me excited. Maybe it was because of the slight Sailor Moon-sy nostalgia I sensed in it or that I was always a girly girl at a young age and loved the disney princesses. Is it a masterpiece? No. I did hesitate with the review I gave it and I kept changing between 3, 4, and 5 stars before I just said fuck the stars and gave it 5. I would like to read further, but it isn't a book I'm overexcited about. I'd rather read Hunger Games 100x than this, but it is way better than Twilight. Maybe it was a part of my Twilight-osis. I don't know, I'll let it set on my shelf for a while before I return to it, and I'll have to knock out some kickass books and then see what I think.
