Trade paperback, 351 pages – I read this for the P&P SF book group. I liked the dreamlike qualities but the people in the group insisted it was a metaphor for drugs, which I didn’t see, and they pointed out some problems with the mechanism for transferring over that the author was unclear about. It didn’t help that most of the characters were not very likable, one person in the group said they were all obsessed.
