it was amazing
bookshelves: politics, asia
Read in December, 2007

In September 2007 I corresponded with author John J. Tkacik, Jr. regarding an article he had written, which eventually led me to read his book. President Reagan made his first visit to Beijing in 1984, however prior to the trip Reagan permitted his Taipei representative James R. Lilley to inform the foreign minister of Taiwan; “President Reagan is going to Beijing…but, by God he will protect your interests”.

Tkacik puts forth very compelling thoughts on a sensitive subject.
