I'm having a hard time pushing myself through this one.

I am having a hard time focusing through the odd digressive bits that I usually like in his other novels. I'm feeling irritated that the characters I suppose Murakami likes are nearly always fastidious, well-dressed and beautiful.

I need a vacation from this novel, then when I come back I can put in a straight 9 to 5, no coffee breaks, just straight work to get this job done.

Jonathan Peto I heard a character stops on a highway or something and falls in a hole or something like Alice into Wonderland?
If so I live near where the character got on the highway, or so I heard.
It wasn't enough to get me reading the book though. Too many other books/authors I have to give a chance. After reading your review, guess I'll stick with that plan.
