If something's missing or things just aren't right, usually Araminta has something to do with it; so, it's only natural that Mr. Wizzard comes looking for Araminta when he can't find his acrobatic frogs. This time, though, she had nothing to do with their disappearance, but she's determined to find out who did - and her first suspect is Uncle Drac's physical therapist, Nurse Watkins. Just where does she go every day, and why is one of her stops the mushroom farm of Morris FitzMaurice - the grumpy old man who also owns and runs Water Wonderland? Watch out, world, because Private Eye Araminta Spookie is on the case, and things will never be the same.

This is the longest of the books so far, and it's a fun read. There's more of a family dynamic in this one, and that's nice as we get to see more of the supporting characters and how they interact. Although you can read this one without having read the first two, it's definitely for the Independent Reader or one who's a little more advanced than a beginner. For one thing, the length can put off some children, which is a shame because it's truly an enjoyable story.
