While I am a huge mystery fan, I did not enjoy this book as much as I hoped. I found the "flashback" writing style to be confusing, and I often had to reread to figure out what time period the story was currently in. The story also got sidetracked with crimes that had nothing to do with finding the killer of the protagonist's wife and daughter. I also knew who the murderer was the first time he/she was introduced into the story. I don't know how -- but I figured it out and read the whole story with that killer in mind.
