This was much more action-packed than previous volumes in the series. It's been thousands of years since Leto II's reign ended, although his influence is still felt. Human tribes who lost contact generations ago have returned from The Scattering, bringing rivals of the Bene Geserit known as Honored Maters. Meanwhile, a girl from the Rakis wilderness has surfaced who can communicate with sandworms, and the Reverend Mothers have once again cloned Duncan Idaho.
I loved the characters in this installment, especially Teg, and I'm looking forward to reading the final volume.
