really liked it

Plus: long title!
Plus: an interesting forward that I would like to use in my Creative Writing class for fiction
Plus: old(ish) + new stories
Plus: the idea of cover-as-story-prompt-as-envelope
Plus: the creativity of McSweeney's minus vulgarity/superfluous harsh language
Plus: vivid imagery, memorable characters
Plus: I gave "Grimble" and "Monster" to Creative Writing students as examples of what published authors can do in the same vein as stories they are writing
Plus: I already know two people to whom I will recommend/lend this book
